Do antibiotics help with allergies?

Answer 1: Allergies are caused by your body rejecting foreign particles that enter your sinuses, lungs, throat and eyes. Your body creates histamines that cause inflamation and itchiness, tearing, runny nose, etc.
Antibiotics are used to kill bacteria. Whether the bacteria is good or bad bacteria, most kinds are killed, which is why most of the time your stomach feels upset and your intestinal tract feels all messed up, because you have good bacteria in your intestines that helps to digest food properly.
So no, antibiotics will NOT help allergies, if anything it will give you upset stomach and diarreah along with itchy, water eyes and a runny nose, and sneezing.

Answer 2: No, antibiotics are for bacterial infections, specifically. Allergens are not bacterial, thus you'd see no positive effect, and might even get side effects from the drug. Also - reckless use of antibiotics leads to super bacteria that are resistant to antibiotic treatments (like C. dificil and others).

Answer 3: No, if you're having allergies antibiotics will not help it and shouldn't not be taken. Antibiotics are taken too often as is, and our bodies getting adjusted to taking them for no apparent reason and don't work when we actually need them to. For allergies, take Benadryl, Claritin, or Zyrtec. If none of those work, see your doctor as it may not be allergies or you may need something stronger.

Answer 4:You need over the counter medications like zyrtec or claritin. Antibiotics only are used for such conditions such as bronchotis. Or if your having issues with your allergies see you doctor to prescribe you allergy medicine like flonase (a nose spray).
